The Judgments of God
The subject of what is known as the "Judgments of God" is indeed a very serious thought provoking subject! It is my sincere opinion that there is no way this subject can be understood and explained in it's fullness. It is however generally understood by the Christian world that there is coming a judgment day in which a holy and righteous God will judge and weigh in a balance all unrighteous acts ever committed by sinful man. This truth and fact is very awesome to think about, and we simply cannot comprehend the awesome magnitude and reality of this truth! This booklet will attempt to show from the Bible that an all wise, all knowing, Almighty God will indeed cause all sin to be exposed and accounted for; and somehow be brought to judgment and made right. The Almighty Creator God is a God of justice, and all sin and evil deeds that are not covered by the shed blood of Jesus Christ will be brought to justice. All sin committed verbally and also by evil deeds against a holy God and against "our neighbor" will be brought before the one and only Judge, and the sin debt will be paid in full. God is a God of divine order and design, and the divine judgments of God is simply taking proper measures to protect and maintain the order and design of his creation in the entire universe throughout all of eternity. This booklet will also talk very much about the world of the angels, and how they will help and be instrumental in determining true justice on "judgment day". Those that doubt the existence of angels owe it to themselves to keep reading this booklet, because this booklet will show from the Bible the obvious reality of the unseen creation of the angels.
In order to have some understanding of God's judgments there must be an understanding of what is known as the eternal laws of God. It is very important to understand that these laws, if disregarded by sinful man, must demand a payment and a penalty. The eternal laws of God are very simple and basic, and will therefore lay the proper theological foundation for a "God fearing" Christian believer. Jesus Christ in no uncertain terms explained what these laws are, as we shall see later. Sin has been here a very long time and must take it's course and toll in the affairs of the history of man, because God honored Adam's choice in the Garden of Eden. God has allowed man in this present evil age to live as he pleases and to go his own way, so to speak. Therefore it could be said that the payment, penalty and the judgment of the eternal laws of God is being delayed. However this fact does not cancel the mounting sin debt that sinful man has accumulated and brought on himself. It is my understanding according to the Bible, that if the Father's children do not use this present evil age to repent; then they must face sometime in the future this delayed "judgment time".
The Father has given his children ample time to acknowledge and to believe in the supreme sacrifice that was made on their behalf, and to "come clean" with their Heavenly Father. Therefore this supreme sacrifice paid the sin debt in full, and it is understood by the Christian world that those "in Christ" will not have to face a certain kind of judgment. This is very true, but what about untold millions of God's children that disregarded the sacrifice of Christ, and therefore have never repented? It is not that the millions of God's children were never told of the gospel. The death and sacrifice of Jesus Christ is well documented, and was not some secret event. It was a profound fact of history! My booklet "How Did Jesus Christ Die?" presents another explanation of Christ's death than what is commonly taught and believed by the modern churches. It is very possible that many of God's children never had the true gospel preached to them. My question therefore would be; is it necessary that all of God's children be told of the true gospel? If this is indeed a serious shortcoming, how can this be accounted for and be made right? Under what basis will those be judged, if through no fault of their own, simply were not given the opportunity of hearing the true gospel? These are serious questions, and will be addressed later.
We live in an evil world and a society that is determined to ignore the consequences of broken laws; whether it be man's laws or God's laws. The biblical laws of God are totally ignored and never mentioned by our "lawmakers" and our "beloved" politicians and government. This is due to the misunderstood concept know as "separation of church and state". It is never explained by our courts and our "judges" the real cause of crime and social breakdown. The ten commandments of God are generally regarded as something to do with "religion" or of "Christian" origin, therefore must be "separated" from government. However tragically worse it is believed that the ten commandments must be "separated" from our courts and legal system! Today our country has many religions and "other gods" (small g), however I believe the Christian faith and the ten commandments was the faith that founded and built this great nation. It is believed and taught by our liberal minded churches of today that these "other gods" must be honored and be given "equal time" and attention in the same manner as the God of the Bible that gave us the ten commandments. After all, we must never "play favorites" toward religion, as we have been told, and therefore the God of the Bible is reduced to the same status as other gods.We are reminded by our liberal minded churches that in order to be a "peace loving" society we must never allow other gods, including the "Christian" God, to influence our government and legal system. This is because most well-meaning people are mentally "programmed" to believe that it would bring division if the "Christian" God were upheld above other gods. It is a shame and a disgrace that most of our churches never explain the true basis and foundation of all law. Indeed, most churches tend to "do away" with the biblical laws of God. This understanding touches on what is known as the "mystery of iniquity" mentioned by the apostle Paul, which will be discussed later. This booklet will show from the Bible the laws of God that are designed to cause a nation and a people to prosper and grow, and be in a condition of peace in the likes of which we simply cannot comprehend!
The Real Cause of Crime
Generally our "learning" institutions have a contempt and a disrespect for the righteous laws of God, therefore this is the very reason that it could be said that we are a society and a people of "law-breakers". However at the same time we do not want to suffer the results that "law-breaking" brings. Please understand the serious implications of this rebellious mind-set! It seems we are a people that would love to have it both ways! We want to "enjoy" all manner of sin, but we certainly do not like to "reap" what sin causes. Therefore our politicians and legislators are called upon to "create" ever more laws designed to "protect" and to offset the cause and effect of "law-breaking". It is very strange that our court and judicial system never speak of "sin" as being the problem that must be dwelt with in a so-called "peace loving" society. This little word "sin" is left for our churches and clergy to interpret and explain, hence the utter stupidity and folly of accepting and applying the rule of "separation of church and state". How can a "peace loving" people allow their own government to "separate" the very institution that is supposed to uphold the moral laws that promote and insure real peace for a whole nation?
The problem therefore is not necessarily with our government and our court system. The churches and the hired pastors behind pulpits are the problem! We had better understand that there is a major problem and a very serious flaw with the theology of most of the churches of this country! Our churches tend to speak a lot more on the grace of God than explaining the penalty of the eternal spiritual laws of God, which explains why these laws are generally ignored and "done away" with. We are a people that will legislate and "create" all manner of laws upon laws, and more laws that will "interpret" other laws, etc. Our deceived churches never explain that man cannot "create" righteous moral laws, simply because the foundation of all law has already been created and established by an all wise Creator God. Here is one definition (among many) of the word "law" found in the Noah Webster Dictionary.
1. A rule, particularly an established or permanent rule,.... declaring what my be done without incurring a penalty. The laws which enjoin the duties of piety and morality, are prescribed by God and found in the scriptures.
According to this definition, the laws that define piety and morality are prescribed by God and are found in the scriptures. This nation knows only to well the importance of making laws, and therefore certainly does not lack in the laws that are supposedly designed to prevent crime and hurt to others. It is not a question of not having enough laws to control evil-doers. It is however a question of evil-doers incurring the proper penalty of broken laws, and also of having the proper law enforcement in carrying out that penalty in a swift manner! Read Eccl. 8:11 to understand why evil-doers have their hearts fully set in them to do evil. It is because when they are brought to "justice", the sentence of their evil work was not executed speedily. Understand this!
Ecclesiastes 8:11 Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. (KJV)
We are a people that want to "forgive" and show "mercy" to evil-doers, and will therefore make laws that delay and extend a sentence from being carried out speedily. On the other hand, we are a "peace loving" people that demand laws that will protect us from evil-doers. However at the same time we allow our court system to make laws that protect the "rights" of these evil-doers. The judges and lawyers relish and love these types of laws, and this also explains why our courts are very slow in deciding and executing cases. It is never explained by our judges and lawyers that evil-doers have automatically forfeited their "rights" by their evil acts in severely harming others. It is very tragic that generally our courts and judges show no compassion and mercy to the victims of crime. This is because our so-called "laws" which favor and side with "law-breakers" must be upheld at all costs!
Our legal system thrives on "separation of church and state", and will enact more laws designed to "break" and overrule other laws. Indeed, this nation therefore has produced an over abundance of lawyers that are trained to "interpret" laws, and are hired by people that want "protection" from other lawyers that are also hired to "protect". In most cases these people that have been "wronged" have "unlawful" motives along with the "unlawful" motives of the lawyers! What a tangled mess of "laws" that a "lawless" nation and a "peace loving" people have produced! Lawyers are hired to fight against each other in court, and the lawyer that best "interprets" the "law" wins the case. Is it any wonder why we are a people and a nation that allows a profound breakdown of "law and order" in a so-called "peace loving" society? This nation could best be described in the way Isaiah 1:4 explains, and I believe this scripture is indeed describing this end time nation (United States) as "Ah sinful nation".Isaiah 1:4 Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward. (KJV)
This nation has indeed forsaken the Lord and provoked the Holy One of Israel unto angry as Isa. 1:4 explains. A society and a nation is under judgment that ignores the laws of God that are designed to maintain peace and harmony, and will therefore eventually fail and socially break down. Our so-called Christian world has more or less "done away" with God's true laws of righteousness, and generally ignores what is stated in Isa. 33:22 and James 4:1.
Isaiah 33:22 For the LORD [is] our judge, the LORD [is] our lawgiver, the LORD [is] our king; he will save us. (KJV).
James 4:12 There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another? (KJV)Our deceived church system fails to identify God as the one lawgiver, which is the very reason God is able to save and to destroy (James 4:12). I might add also; since God is the one lawgiver he is therefore also able to judge! Our government and our courts (including most churches) do not consider the Lord as our judge, our lawgiver, and our king (Isa. 33:22). This false concept and mind-set of "doing away" with God's laws that the denominational church system has adapted to, is directly the cause that is destroying our basic common culture and structure as a nation. We are all familiar with this saying; as the churches go, so goes the nation. This saying is indeed very accurate! Churches are supposed to teach and set the example of true righteousness for a society, and therefore are instrumental in promoting righteous government; which in turn will also demand a just and fair court system that truly punishes the evil-doers.
All of man's laws must uphold and be based on this truth as God being the one lawgiver. All moral law that man attempts to promote to maintain peace must be based on and founded in one common objective and origin. What are the profound laws of God that all law must uphold and be derived from? This booklet will show from the Bible and from the words of Jesus Christ, two very basic and simple precepts that all law "hangs" on. This spiritual anchor of all the righteous laws of God is the true basis and the only way a holy and righteous God will eventually judge his people. The Origin of Sin
All of us have heard the little word "sin" mentioned very many times by the ministry of this so-called Christian world. However it behooves us to learn the true biblical meaning of this little word "sin", and also where and how "sin" came into existence. It is hard for us to comprehend that in the eternity of the past there was no such concept known as "sin" and "rebellion". Before and during the creation of Genesis 1:1 and in the pre-Adamic world there was a perfect order of government that ruled the universe, therefore the effects of sin and rebellion were not felt or realized. Most of the Christian world believes "sin" reared it's ugly head and had it's beginning in the Garden of Eden. Most of the Christian world also believes and teaches in the existence of angels, however it is seldom ever explained how the origin of sin is directly related to an angelic rebellion.
The unseen creation of the angels is beyond our understanding, simply because we cannot "see" any evidence of their existence! We also cannot "see" air and electricity, however we know that these forces of nature are ever-present. So it is with the unseen world of the angels. We can very well see and feel the effects of air and electricity that it sometimes causes in our physical world, which is high winds and lightning. We also cannot "see" radio signals, but we are able to use and transmit them "instantly" to other planets (such as Mars), and cause a response from our "vehicles" that we sent there in space flight. So it is with the angels. They are not restricted by the laws that regulate the physical realm of our world and therefore can travel and go places "instantly". Angels however are able to "come out" of their unseen world and appear in our physical world, as the Bible clearly explains as we shall see. Weather patterns, climate, and the seasons must be regulated and controlled by some power or force. These types of unfailing laws are controlled by the angels. Angels will sometimes alter and "change" these laws and cause unstable weather patterns, or freaks of nature such as severe storms that produce tornadoes, hurricanes, massive flooding, etc. This is known as judgments for ungodly nations to experience, such as our own nation. The many constant unfailing laws such as gravity, motion, and inertia are regulated by the angels, which is why they are able to manipulate certain laws and appear in our physical realm. The angels are created beings that are highly intelligent, and have free moral agency of choice given to them by an all wise God. If we choose to simply believe the Bible, then we have to acknowledge the existence of the invisible creation and the angel world; and the governmental powers given to these angels. See Col. 1:16.
Colossians 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: (KJV)
The pre-Adamic world of the angels and the thrones, dominions, principalities, and powers that rule the vast universe is addressed in my booklet "The World Before Adam". It is not the purpose of this booklet to address the function of these governmental powers of the angels. However I want to state that these governmental powers were given to the angels by the Almighty God to maintain the complexity of the universal laws that regulate and control the order and design of God's vast and limitless creation. It is important to understand that at some time in the ages of the distant past there was a perfect order of government on the earth, as well as also on the other planets and the universe. The angels are sometimes biblically called the "host of heaven" or "heavenly host", or just simply as the "host". Notice in Luke 2:13 that it mentions "the heavenly host" that are praising God.
Luke 2:13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, (KJV)
I believe the creation of the angels was completed on the sixth day of the Genesis account of the "restored" creation. See Gen. 2:1 and notice the phrase "and all the host of them". There is reason to believe that "all the host of them" does not necessarily refer to the sun, moon, and the planets. This is also explained in my booklet "The World Before Adam".
Genesis 2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. (KJV)
Neh. 9:6 and 2 Chron. 18:18 are also very important scriptures that mention the "host of heaven", which obviously refers to the angels that worship God; as these two scriptures clearly explain.Nehemiah 9:6 Thou, [even] thou, [art] LORD alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all [things] that [are] therein, the seas, and all that [is] therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee. (KJV)
2 Chronicles 18:18 Again he said, Therefore hear the word of the LORD; I saw the LORD sitting upon his throne, and all the host of heaven standing on his right hand and [on] his left. (KJV)However the Bible explains in several examples that the "host of heaven" could also be referring to the sun, moon, and the planets. It would seem when the Bible speaks of these heavenly bodies, it is at the same time referring to the angels. This is very important to understand, because in today's world it is common knowledge that the names given for planets are named after false gods. It is also no coincidence that our days of the week (among many other things) are named after false gods. I believe the planets are "fallen" worlds that were destroyed sometime in the distant past, along with our planet earth. Angels were created to administer the divine plan and government of God, and I believe the vast majority of the angels were active in the government of God before and during the creation of Gen. 1:1. The Genesis account of the "creation" after Gen. 1:1 was only a renewing or a "remaking" of the ruined planet earth as my booklet "The World Before Adam" also explains. Acts 7:42, 2 Kings 17:16 and 2 Kings 23:5 explains the false worship of the "host of heaven" done by Israelites, and notice the mention of the sun, moon, and the planets in 2 Kings 23:5.
Acts 7:42 Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets, O ye house of Israel, have ye offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices [by the space of] forty years in the wilderness? (KJV)
2 Kings 17:16 And they left all the commandments of the LORD their God, and made them molten images, [even] two calves, and made a grove, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served Baal. (KJV)
2 Kings 23:5 And he put down the idolatrous priests, whom the kings of Judah had ordained to burn incense in the high places in the cities of Judah, and in the places round about Jerusalem; them also that burned incense unto Baal, to the sun, and to the moon, and to the planets, and to all the host of heaven. (KJV)Why were the Israelites determined to worship the sun, moon, and the planets and all the host of heaven? I believe there were certain angels given charge and dominion over the sun, moon, and other planets. I also believe these angels rebelled and assaulted the very throne and government of Almighty God. Israel refused to worship the one true God, therefore God gave up his people Israel to the worship of false gods. Read Acts 7:42 again. These false gods are nothing more than angels that rebelled against God, and they are determined to deceive God's children into obeying false customs that are designed to lead them away from the one true God. I believe these fallen angels had dominion of the sun, moon and the planets, which is why the Israelites burned incense to the sun, moon, and the planets as we have seen in 2 Kings 23:5.
According to NASA and our space program the planet Mars at some time in the distant past contained water, and also certain unusual "objects" were photographed on it's surface. It is obvious that this unusual "evidence" points to the possibility of some sort of intelligent life. What happened to Mars, and also to the moon and to the other dead planets? If we can read "between the lines" of many scriptures it is obvious that the Bible speaks of an angelic rebellion, and also speaks of the spiritual implications this had on the invisible and unseen creation, and also on the physical creation. This was why the phrase "without form and void" was used to describe the result of this rebellion. See Gen. 1:2.Genesis 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness [was] upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. (KJV)
Why would Jesus Christ declare in Luke 10:18 that he beheld Satan fall from heaven as lightning falling from heaven? This event is also recorded in Isa. 14:12-13.
Luke 10:18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. (KJV)
Isaiah 14:12-13 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! [how] art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: (KJV)A certain angel carried the title of "O Lucifer, son of the morning", and I believe he had dominion of planet earth before it became "without form and void". In the same manner other angels also had dominion and ruled over the other planets and worlds. This event described in Luke 10:18 and Isa. 14:12-13 is the true origin of where and how sin and rebellion had it's beginning. This certain angel that ruled the pre-Adamic world was created perfect to have dominion until something called "iniquity" was found in him, as it explains in Ezek. 28:15. Keep in mind that the word "iniquity" is applied to this fallen angel.
Ezekiel 28:15 Thou [wast] perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. (KJV)
This iniquity and rebellion was carried into the Garden of Eden by this fallen angel. He is now called by the name of Satan the devil, because he is now an adversary against the plan and government of God ("satan" means adversary). For the sake of space this booklet will not address the cause and the reason that "Lucifer" rebelled against God. However this truth is addressed in my booklet "The World Before Adam". This ruling angel convinced a large number of the other angels to also rebel against the government of Almighty God. God is a God of peace, and is not the author of sin and confusion; and he certainly did not create the angels to later be in rebellion against him. See 1 Cor. 14:33.
1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not [the author] of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. (KJV)
What is in store for these angels that rebelled against God, or more important, what will be their final judgment? Jesus Christ mentioned something about an "everlasting fire" that was prepared for the devil and his angels. This "everlasting fire" is also called "hell fire" and is the judgment of those of God's children on Christ's left hand that are cursed, and are told to depart from Christ. See Matt. 25:41 and Mark 9:47.
Matthew 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: (KJV)
Mark 9:47 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire: (KJV)When "Lucifer" rebelled with his angels it was necessary to prepare a place of restraint so that these extreme wicked angels could not do any more harm to God's creation. As we have seen this extreme wickedness and rebellion caused much damage to our known universe. Wicked angels that rebelled are held in a place called "hell", and in a condition called "chains of darkness". They are being restrained (or chained), and later will receive their judgment as it explains in 2 Pet. 2:4 and Jude 6-7. The judgment of these fallen angels will be addressed later.
2 Peter 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast [them] down to hell, and delivered [them] into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; (KJV)
Jude 6-7 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. 7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. (KJV)The angels of 2 Pet. 2:4 and also the angels of Jude 6 and 7 were cast into hell in everlasting chains of darkness, and are being reserved for the judgment of the great day; and they presently are suffering the vengeance of "eternal fire". It is very interesting that Jude states that these wicked angels "kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation". The word "estate" is no. 746 in Strong's Lexicon. According to these meanings, these wicked angels left their beginning, origin, and principality and rule.

Therefore the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrha are suffering the same punishment as the angels that sinned, as Jude 7 explained. The sin of Sodom and Gomorrha was not necessarily "going after strange flesh", simply because the flesh of these cities were all of the same flesh. The angelic rebellion in the days of Noah was a certain sexual sin (strange flesh) that produced giants (Gen. 6:1-4).
Genesis 6:1-4 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, 2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they [were] fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. 3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also [is] flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. 4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare [children] to them, the same [became] mighty men which [were] of old, men of renown. (KJV)
What is this "strange flesh" that the angels went after spoken of in Jude 7? See the meaning given for the word "strange" in Strong's Lexicon no. 2087. This flesh was not of the same nature, form, class, and was another kind of flesh; and therefore different than angels.

If the "sons of God" is referring to just men of Adam kind marrying the daughters of men, then my question would have to be; what is the sin in this type of marriage? How can "giants" be born of this God-given type of marriage, and why were they called "mighty men which were of old"? This is very interesting because the word "old" used in Gen. 6:4 was translated "everlasting" sixty three times in the Old Testament! See no. 05769 for the word "old" in Strong's Lexicon.

This sexual union, known as the sin of fornication spoken of in Jude 7, was against nature that produced giants as we have seen in Gen. 6:4. Keep in mind that in Noah's world this was the sin called "going after strange flesh" which the angels committed. This sin was compared to the sin of Sodom and Gomorra, which the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorra are suffering the vengeance of eternal fire; as are the angels of Noah's day. The vast majority of angels remained loyal and faithful to God after the rebellion in the pre-Adamic world, and also after the "going after strange flesh" rebellion. The Bible explains that the number of loyal angels are innumerable and cannot be numbered! Read and believe Jer. 33:22 and Heb. 12:22.
Jeremiah 33:22 As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me. (KJV)
Hebrews 12:22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, (KJV)These "good" angels receive their instructions in heavenly Jerusalem (Heb. 12:22). However they are only allowed to go back and forth on the earth through a certain location to serve the children of God, as will be explained soon.
The Garden of Eden
God created Adam in his own image and likeness and put him in a certain location known as the "Garden of Eden" as it shows in Gen. 2:8.
Genesis 2:8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. (KJV)
As we all know this fallen angel that was in rebellion (which was called the "serpent") was also in this certain location. This location is also where the "serpent" deceived the woman to cause Adam to "sin", and therefore lose God's image and likeness. The first time the word "sin" appears in the Bible is found in Gen. 4:7.
Genesis 4:7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee [shall be] his desire, and thou shalt rule over him. (KJV)
This is when Cain and Abel made offerings to God in which Cain's offering was not accepted. The biblical meaning for the word "sin" is no. 02403 in Strong's Lexicon, and is taken from no. 02398. It is very important that we notice the many meanings given for no. 02398 (chata'). As we can see, "sin" carries the theme of "to miss", or "to miss the way", or "to miss the goal", or "to miss the mark", etc. I prefer to think of sin as "missing the mark of perfection", or "missing the mark of the ideal standard".

Therefore this tragic condition demanded certain sin-offerings to be accepted by God. These sin-offerings, if accepted by God, would serve as a temporary "substitute" for the guilt and punishment of Adam "missing the mark". If a certain offering was not accepted then sin would lie at the "door" as was stated in Gen. 4:7. This is very important because why would an offering that is not accepted by God cause sin to be left on this "door". The implication of Gen. 4:7 is that the penalty of sin, if not properly "substituted for", would prevent or block access through a certain "door". What is this "door", and why was sin not allowed to enter and go through this "door"? People have attempted to explain "sin lieth at the door" in several ways, but I choose to explain this special "door" in the following manner. This word "door" is loaded with meaning, and it is no. 06607 in Strong's Lexicon. These meanings given for the word "door" are very important and will reveal something about an "entrance" or an "opening". Please take note that the word "door" is translated seven times as "gate", and also once as a "place". This is very important to understand!
06607 pethach {peh'-thakh}from 06605; TWOT - 1854a; m AV - door 126, entering 10, entry 8, gate 7, in 7, entrance 3, openings 1, place 1; 163
1) opening, doorway, entranceI believe this "door" is the entrance to the "house of God", and could also be called the "gate of heaven". It is very interesting that Jacob tarried all night in a "certain place" where he took certain stones of "that place", and made pillows to lay his head down to sleep in "that place". This very important event is explained in Gen. 28:11. Please note that the Bible does specify this location as a "certain place", and it is mentioned three times in this verse.
Genesis 28:11 And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put [them for] his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep. (KJV)
Jacob proclaimed, "Surely the Lord is in this place"; which he said is none other but the "house of God" and the "gate of heaven". See Gen. 28:16-19.
Genesis 28:16-19 And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew [it] not. 17 And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful [is] this place! this [is] none other but the house of God, and this [is] the gate of heaven. 18 And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put [for] his pillows, and set it up [for] a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it. 19 And he called the name of that place Bethel: but the name of that city [was called] Luz at the first. (KJV)
Why was Jacob afraid and proclaimed in verse 17, "How dreadful is this place!". The words "afraid" and "dreadful" carry the meanings of reverence and fear. "This place" that Jacob referred to was held in reverence and in fear by Jacob because of Jacob's dream (which will be explained soon). Therefore Jacob knew that "this place" was the "opening", "doorway", and the "gate" of the house of God. I believe Jacob made this statement in the same location where the Adamic sin was committed that prevented and blocked the "doorway" to the house of God! My booklet "The New Jerusalem" also explains why this is the exact location of present-day Jerusalem. Jacob also called "that place" by the name of "Bethel", which was called at first by the name of "Luz" as was shown in Gen. 28:19. According to no. 01008 and no. 03870 in Strong's Lexicon, Bethel means "house of God", and Luz means "almond tree".
01008 Beyth-'El {bayth-ale'}from 01004 and 0410; TWOT - 241a; n pr loc AV - Bethel 66, non translated variable 4; 70 Bethel = "house of God"
1) ancient place and seat of worship in Ephraim on border of Benjamin, identified with Luz (former name) 2) a place in south country of Judah, not far from Beersheba and Ziklag
03870 Luwz {looz} probably from 03869 (as growing there);; n pr loc AV - Luz 8; 8 Luz = "almond tree"
1) the early name of Bethel and probably the name of the town in close proximity to the actual location of the altar and pillar of Jacob 2) the name of a town in the land of the Hittites; site unknownAccording to several scriptures in the New Testament Jesus Christ was crucified on a real literal tree, which I believe was an almond tree. My booklet "How Did Jesus Christ Die?" explains this truth of Christ being crucified on a literal "green tree". This truth would not be of any significance in regards to Luz meaning an "almond tree" if it wasn't for the fact of where Luz was located on this earth! "That place" called Luz was highly symbolic of the "tree of life" which this almond tree represented that Jesus Christ was crucified on. The "tree of life" was located where this certain almond tree (Luz) was also located, which was the exact spot of the "doorway", "entrance", "opening", and the "gate of heaven ". See Gen. 3:22-24.
Genesis 3:22-24 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: 23 Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. 24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life. (KJV)
Adam was driven from this location, however this does not mean Adam's descendants were "turned away" from this special location. Gen. 3:24 stated that the flaming sword "turned every way" (all directions) to "keep the way", (or to make sure the merits of the tree of life remains). This special location was the "entry" to the heavenly city of Jerusalem, which is what the earthly city of Jerusalem represented. Jesus Christ offered himself at that exact location as the one and only true sin-offering on the almond tree which cleared and purified the entry and doorway to heaven. Sin no longer is blocking the "door" that was mentioned in Gen. 4:7, which was located at Bethel and Luz in the days of Jacob. Why do all these biblical "signs" point toward the Garden of Eden, and why is this certain location of such profound importance? It is the only spot on the earth that a holy and righteous God decided to bring forth his family in his own image and likeness, and was also the "place" where God's children lost God's glory, image and likeness. Therefore was the only sacred place on the earth that the "doorway" to heaven was located, and also needed to be cleansed by the one and only true sin-offering. This is also the same "door" that Jesus Christ is knocking for any man to "open" as it explains in Rev. 3:20.
Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. (KJV)
Since this doorway in now "cleansed", any man that hears Christ's voice can therefore "open" this "door" and have access (in spirit) to the "house of God". It is no longer necessary to be at this location (Jerusalem) to do the "works of the law" in sacrificial lessons to remove the sin that "lieth at the door" which leads to heavenly Jerusalem. It is also very interesting that this is also the exact location where Jacob dreamed of the "ladder" that reached into heaven that angels were ascending and descending on, as it explains in Gen. 28:12.
Genesis 28:12 And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it. (KJV)
Angels receive their instructions from heavenly Jerusalem to ascend and descend through a certain location on the earth. They are not permitted to ascend and descend just anywhere on the earth, because the "house of God" and "gate of heaven" is the only location on the earth that the Father "placed" Adam to bring forth his children in his own image. Therefore this location could be considered "holy ground" from God's point of view. Therefore angels are instructed and sent forth as ministering spirits to help God's children to again have God's image and glory. They are instructed to use "Jacob's ladder" located at the "gate of heaven" to come on the earth to make Christ's enemies his "footstool", and to serve and minister to the Father's children to help them achieve salvation. See Heb. 1:13-14.
Hebrews 1:13-14 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? 14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation? (KJV)
The "Good" Angels
As was mentioned before, the vast majority of God's angels never rebelled; and they are therefore very much aware of the effects of sin and rebellion. These angels are mentioned very many times in the Bible and some were actually used by God during the time of Moses to represent God, and also spoke for God. Carefully read and study Acts 7:30, 35, 38, and Gal. 3:19.
Acts 7:30 And when forty years were expired, there appeared to him in the wilderness of mount Sina an angel of the Lord in a flame of fire in a bush. (KJV)
Acts 7:35 This Moses whom they refused, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge? the same did God send [to be] a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the angel which appeared to him in the bush. (KJV)
Acts 7:38 This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and [with] our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us: (KJV)
Galatians 3:19 Wherefore then [serveth] the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; [and it was] ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator. (KJV)According to these verses it was a certain angel of the Lord that spoke to Moses in the flaming bush. It was also a certain angel that spoke to Moses later at Mount Sinai and received the "lively oracles" (from God) to give to the children of Israel as was clearly explained in Acts 7:38. Gal. 3:19 stated that the law was added because of transgressions, which was ordained (commanded, appointed, ordered, etc.) by angels in the hand of a mediator (Moses). See no. 1299 in Strong's Lexicon for the word "ordained" (found in Gal. 3:19).
1299 diatasso {dee-at-as'-so} from 1223 and 5021; TDNT - 8:34,1156; v AV - command 7, appoint 4, ordain 3, set in order 1, give order 1; 16
1) to arrange, appoint, ordain, prescribe, give orderActs 7:52-53 plainly states that the prophets were slain because they prophesied of the coming of Jesus Christ. The murderers of the prophets received the law by the disposition of angels, however they did not keep it. These scriptures imply that had they kept the law, given and spoken by the angels, the prophets and also Jesus Christ would not have been killed. Carefully study Acts 7:52-53.
Acts 7:52-53 Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers: 53 Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept [it]. (KJV)
Where was God all this time when the angels spoke and gave the old covenant laws to Moses? I believe God was also there giving divine instructions to certain angels to carry out his wishes. God himself obviously appeared at Mount Sinai when he wrote the ten commandments on stone, and showed himself to Moses when he came in physical contact with the glory of God as it explains in Exod. 33:22-23.
Exodus 33:22-23 And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by: 23 And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen. (KJV)
It is very obvious that these certain angels spoke as if God himself spoke. It could be said that they stood in for God and took God's place, so to speak. However I do believe the Old Testament does record at certain times when it really was God that spoke. I believe these certain "good" angels were elected and chosen in the giving of the lively oracles (living laws) because an all wise God will call upon these elect angels to judge his people. Read 1 Tim. 5:21 and Heb. 2:2.
1 Timothy 5:21 I charge [thee] before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.(KJV)
Hebrews 2:2 For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward; (KJV)Why would the apostle Paul charge Timothy before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, and also before the elect angels? The words and eternal laws of God were spoken by the angels, and these words were steadfast (unchangeable); which is why there will be a just recompense of broken laws. Understand something! These "good" angels with the power of God will be in a very good position to judge, which is what 1 Tim. 5:21 and Heb. 2:2 are saying. We know these "good" angels will be used to judge God's people because of what Jesus Christ himself said in Luke 12: 8-9.
Luke 12:8-9 Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God: 9 But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God. (KJV)
Those that confess Christ before men, Christ will also confess before the angels of God. Those that deny Christ before men, Christ will also deny before the angels of God. Why would Christ do that? Because these angels are given permission to judge these confessions and denials! God is reserving his unjust rebellious children to be punished on the judgment of "the great day". This is why the "good" angels, which are greater in power and might, are not to bring before the Lord railing accusation against the unjust children of God that are self-willed and despise government and dignities. These angels have seen and understand this type of evil, however they are to restrain themselves and not carry out judgment against the unjust children of God until the "day of judgment". Read and understand 2 Pet. 2:9-11.
2 Peter 2:9-11 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: 10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous [are they], self willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities. 11 Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord. (KJV)
These "good" angels are all over the earth, and they can appear and look like ordinary men in the flesh. This truth is clearly shown numerous times in the Bible. The "good" angels are ever watchful over the children of God, and will occasionally "test" some of God's children on proper hospitality toward other "strangers" of the family of God. Read and believe Heb. 13:2.
Hebrews 13:2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. (KJV)
Why would angels want to do this sort of "testing" on God's family? Keep in mind we are studying what is known as the "judgments of God", and the angels are given permission to "test" God's children so that they can be judged accordingly! This is very important! We are also to take heed and not despise or show cruelty toward small children, because children have angels assigned to them by the true Father of these little children. When in heaven, these angels "see" these innocent little children when beholding the face of the Father, and they will remember every harmful and evil deed done to these innocent little children. See Matt. 18:10.
Matthew 18:10 Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven. (KJV)
The seventh and last trumpet is the time when the "good" angels will be sent to gather all of God's elect from over all the earth to meet the Lord in the air at his return. I believe these saints are by now resurrected because they are gathered in the air (from one end of the "heaven" to the other) to meet Christ. Carefully read and study Matt. 24:31, 1 Cor. 15:52 and 1 Thes. 4:17.
Matthew 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. (KJV)
1 Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed (KJV).
1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. (KJV)This "seventh trumpet" is the time when the kingdoms of this earth will be "taken over" and become the kingdoms of our Lord and of his Christ. Therefore this is when the thousand year rule of Christ with the resurrected saints will commence and rule for ever and ever. See Rev. 11:15. This truth is also explained in my booklet "The Kingdom of God".
Revelation 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become [the kingdoms] of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. (KJV)
The "good" angels desire to "look into" the reasons why they are assigned to be ever watchful over the family of God, and to do special duties for God. Angels are not members of God's family, and therefore might not understand fellowship. I also do not believe they fully understand the preaching of the gospel and the giving of God's Spirit sent down from heaven to those members of God's family that repent. This is explained in 1 Pet. 1:12.
1 Peter 1:12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into. (KJV)
In the same manner some of God's children believe in angels, however they do not understand the function and affairs of the angels. This is deliberately kept hidden from God's children for a glorious purpose! However angels do understand repentance, and they remember only too well the results of sin and rebellion in the pre-Adamic world. Therefore they truly experience joy over one sinner that repents, as it explains in Luke 15:10.
Luke 15:10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth. (KJV)
Angels are very much aware of sin, and they do not like to see the fruits and results that sin brings among the members of God's family. However they do love to see the fruits of repentance and good works. They are ever aware of evil works and good works, and therefore are keeping a record on every member of God's family. There are no evil or good deeds hidden or kept secret from these "good" angels, and therefore all works whether good or bad will be exposed and manifested; as it clearly explains in Mark 4:22 and Luke 8:17.
Mark 4:22 For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad. (KJV)
Luke 8:17 For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither [any thing] hid, that shall not be known and come abroad. (KJV)The White Throne Judgment
The "good" angels will occasionally "test", and are keeping "tally" and "recording" every evil deed and offense done among God's children. When they report back and forth to heavenly Jerusalem I believe all these evil deeds along with all the good deeds are being written and recorded in "books". After the thousand year rule of Christ, these books will be opened with the "book of life" to determine the proper judgment of those who lived before and during Christ's rule according to works. I believe these "books" also include the inspired "books" of the Bible with the written eternal laws of God. Therefore the results of opening and comparing all these "books" will determine the proper judgment, and also the rewards of those found in the book of life. This event is known as the "white throne judgment of works". Read and study Rev. 20:11-15 very carefully.
Revelation 20:11-15 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is [the book] of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. (KJV)
All of God's children, small and great, and all that have died in the sea, and all that are in the graves, will be resurrected to mortal life; and then stand before God. They will all be judged according to their works that they have done in their mortal lives. All the souls that experienced the first death which were held in "hell", will be delivered up out of "hell" (mortal resurrection) to then face their judgment according to their works. This is what Rev. 20:13 means by the statement; "and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them". In other words, during the white throne judgment no one of God's children will remain dead, because even death itself was "delivered up" (out of hell); as was explained in verse 13.
The implication of verse 15 is that there will be some souls that are still found written in the book of life. This would account for the many of God's children that had no opportunity of hearing of the true gospel, therefore were judged according to works to determine their rewards. These souls simply were not worthy to be resurrected at Christ's return, therefore it is possible that they were held in hell during the thousand year period. However the souls not found written in the book of life will be cast into the "lake of fire" to experience their "second death"; as Rev 20:14-15 implied. These souls will be cast back to hell, to experience a conscious eternal condition called the judgment of the "lake of fire". However this judgment is not given in equal proportions to those cast in the "lake of fire". Jesus Christ stated in a parable that some will be beaten with "many stripes", but the less severe eternal punishment would be with "few stripes". See Luke 12:47-48. This very important parable simply means that there are different degrees of punishment in the judgment of the "lake of fire".Luke 12:47-48 And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not [himself], neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many [stripes]. 48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few [stripes]. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more. (KJV)
Keep in mind the "white throne judgment" is after the thousand year rule of Christ. The saints known as the "first fruits" were resurrected to eternal life at the "seventh trumpet" when Christ returned to this earth. I believe this is known as the "first resurrection", because the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. Those saints in the first resurrection will be given thrones to sit on, and they will be given permission to judge during the thousand years. See Rev. 20:4-5.
Revelation 20:4-5 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and [I saw] the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received [his] mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This [is] the first resurrection. (KJV)
This is also the time that the apostles will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel that will populate the earth during the thousand years, as it plainly explains in Matt. 19:28 and Luke 22:30.
Matthew 19:28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. (KJV)
Luke 22:30 That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel. (KJV)I believe this type of judgment given to the saints and the apostles is a judgment only to maintain civil order in the kingdom of God during the thousand years. However the apostle Paul implied that the saints will have the glorious opportunity of executing the eternal judgment on the fallen angels. It is very easy to understand why the apostle John also instructed saints to have a certain "boldness" in the day of judgment. See 1 Cor. 6:3 and 1 John 4:17.
1 Corinthians 6:3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? (KJV) 1 John 4:17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. (KJV)
As was explained in Rev. 20:5, after the thousand years are finished the rest of God's children will be resurrected during the time of the "white throne" judgment. This will be a mortal resurrection, which is known as the resurrection of the unjust. See Acts 24:15.
Acts 24:15 And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust. (KJV)
This will also be a time that ancient history will "take the stage" and will be "played out" again, so to speak. The time of the white throne judgment is a time when "hell" will give up all the dead, as we have seen, and all people will again be brought back to life. I believe "hell" will give up whole societies and cities to give an account of all sin and wrong doings that were committed in this life. Jesus Christ spoke of the land of Sodom and Gomorrha and also of Tyre and Sidon that will again exist in the day of judgment. These sinful societies did not have the honor and privilege of having the Creator of the universe come in a flesh body to walk in the streets of their cities. This is exactly why Christ made these following statements in Matt. 10:15 and 11:22-23.
Matthew 10:15 Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city. (KJV)
Matthew 11:22-23 But I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the day of judgment, than for you. 23 And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. (KJV)Christ plainly stated that Sodom would have remained into the time of Christ's day if they had seen the mighty works of Christ done in their day! The evil city of Capernaum during the days of Christ will be brought down to "hell" in the white throne judgment, because they rejected Christ in their day. However this evil city is in "hell" now and is being reserved to be punished in the final "lake of fire" judgment. Jesus Christ also declared that Nineveh repented at the preaching of Jonah, therefore they will rise in judgment to condemn the evil "generation" of Christ's day. This is also true of the "queen of the south", because she traveled a great distance to hear the wisdom of Solomon. Therefore she also will condemn the "generation" that condemned Christ! See Matt. 12:41-42.
Matthew 12:41-42 The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas [is] here. 42 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon [is] here. (KJV)
The white throne judgment will cause all wrong that was ever committed to be balanced out and made right! The "lake of fire" is also the condition and place of torment that the beast and false prophet were cast, and were there during the thousand year rule of Christ. This will also be the final judgment of eternal torment given to Satan the devil as it explains in Rev. 20:10. I might add, the "lake of fire" is also the judgment that the saints will determine on the fallen angels as we have seen previously in 1 Cor. 6:3.
Revelation 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet [are], and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. (KJV)
The Mystery of Iniquity
In this present evil world there are two classes of people known as the "wheat" and the "tares" that Jesus Christ spoke of in a very important parable found in Matt. 13:30 and 39-41. Please understand this parable!
Matthew 13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn. (KJV)
Matthew 13:39-41 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. 40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. 41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; (KJV)We must assume that this truth obviously takes us back to the "serpent" in the Garden of Eden and the "enmity" between two physical seed lines spoken of in Gen. 3:15.
Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. (KJV)
According to Jesus Christ, the devil was the enemy that sowed these "tares" (serpent's seed in the garden), therefore is the origin of the "wheat" and the "tares". These two classes of people are to grow together until the "end of the world". When this evil world has come to it's end and is replaced by the kingdom of God, the "good" angels will gather all these "tares" and burn them in "the fire". Christ will send forth his angels to gather out of his kingdom everything that offends, and those which do "iniquity". It is the "tares" that will be burned in the "fire", because according to Christ, it is these "tares" that cause things to offend and are involved with doing what is called "iniquity". Read Matt. 13: 41 again. The word "iniquity" is not hard to understand, and basically means a condition of without law (lawlessness); as it shows in Strong's Lexicon, no. 458.
458 anomia {an-om-ee'-ah}from 459; TDNT - 4:1085,646; n f AV - iniquity 12, unrighteousness 1, transgress the law + 4060 1, transgression of the law 1; 15
1) the condition of without law 1a) because ignorant of it 1b) because of violating it 2) contempt and violation of law, iniquity, wickednessSatan the devil is the author of "iniquity", because as we have seen previously in Ezek. 28:15 it stated that he was created perfect until this condition of "lawlessness" was found in him before his rebellion.
Ezekiel 28:15 Thou [wast] perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. (KJV)
As we have also seen previously, the "serpent" was in the Garden of Eden, and therefore this condition of "lawlessness" would logically directly effect the "serpent's seed" spoken of in Gen. 3:15. The implication and truth of what I have just stated is that this wicked condition was mentally and genetically in Cain, because he was mentally driven to murder Abel. Therefore it is also logical to assume that this condition of lawlessness and wickedness would be in force along with the "enmity" that God pronounced throughout all of history between these two physical seed lines. This physical "seed of the serpent" is therefore mentally driven to have a total contempt and disrespect for law; especially for the righteous eternal laws of God! This truth is very important to understand! In the days of the early New Testament Church the apostle Paul stated, "For the mystery of iniquity doth already work". Read and study 2Thes. 2:1-2, 7
2 Thessalonians 2:1-2 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and [by] our gathering together unto him, 2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. (KJV)
2 Thessalonians 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth [will let], until he be taken out of the way. (KJV)A mysterious condition of lawlessness was already working in Paul's day, and Paul knew that it would continue until the "day of Christ is at hand". What are we to understand from this? I believe Paul knew that the "mystery of iniquity" would make it possible for the world to be deceived into believing a lie, which would be a "returned" false Christ. I believe the "enmity" of Gen. 3:15 will eventually cause Satan the devil to somehow convince the "seed of woman" to have a total disregard and contempt for the eternal laws of God. If the "seed of the woman" would be on guard and prepare for this type of deception then it would not be a "mystery", and therefore Satan could not deceive and convince God's children to believe "the lie" that he is God. Read and study 2 Thes. 2:4, 11 very carefully.
2 Thessalonians 2:4, 11 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: (KJV)
We are indeed living in an evil world that is in a mysterious wicked condition, not only in sin and unrighteousness, but also in deception! The argument of course is that sin and iniquity have always been with us in this world since the Garden of Eden. This is very true, however not the "mystery" of iniquity! Understand this! All through biblical history there has never been a mystery in understanding the cause and effect of sin, simply because the physical works of temple service continually reminded God's children of sin and the ten commandments. These are nothing more than the eternal laws of God written in letter and code form given and spoken by the angels. Please understand that during the days of the apostle Paul the temple service was about to end (or already was ended), which is why Paul could say "For the mystery of iniquity doth already work". However it is also possible that among the believers in Paul's day there could have been a major deception regarding the eternal moral laws of God.
It would have to be a certain "religious" and mental mind-set of believing that God's eternal moral laws are a "curse", or "done away", or are not really laws that are binding, and therefore demand an eternal penalty and judgment. I believe this type of deception could very well have started in Paul's day. It is also very true that our religious and Christian world of today seldom ever teach or stress the point on the severity of mentally keeping the eternal moral laws of God. We are a people that are driven and have the "very strange and mysterious" mental mind-set to disguise ourselves and our innocent little children with all manner of stupid, silly and ugly costumes at Halloween. This custom is nothing more than obeying the custom of a fallen angel. We are driven and determined to set up a "green tree" in our homes and churches at Christmas time, and we never question how utterly illogical and stupid this custom really is! We just know it is "beautiful" and we love to do it!
We are also driven and determined and we never question why we think we have to obey the custom of colored eggs and rabbits and face the "east" at sunrise at a most holy remembrance of Christ's death and resurrection. It is very strange and mysterious as to why professing Christians would want to obey these customs, since many are aware that these "unusual" customs are of pagan origin. Please understand, we are talking about the "mystery of iniquity" and the customs of fallen angels! Our deceived Churches would rather believe and teach that God's laws and the ten commandments are a "curse", and therefore were "done away" at Christ's death. I believe this mental and spiritual mind-set of the deceived churches allows the "mystery of iniquity", to cause the "enmity" of Gen. 3:15 to not be realized. Keep in mind that this "enmity" is naturally designed to cause the "seed of the woman" to mentally be on guard, so to speak, for possible deception and evil intent from the "seed of the serpent".
However in our modern times this simply not the case! As a matter of fact, the "seed of the woman" is in agreement and will defend the "seed of the serpent. Where is the enmity, hatred and opposition in this? The "seed of the woman" even teaches and believes that the "serpent's seed" are the "chosen people", and has the mental mind-set that they would be cursed if they do not believe and teach this profound lie. Therefore I believe this deception of the "mystery of iniquity" has directly effected our government, and will have major world-wide political implications in the coming years ahead of us!
In Conclusion
Our churches of today generally are under the false impression that "law" and "grace" cannot go together in the matter of "salvation", and therefore must be separated. Most Christians are aware that the moral laws of God can never be kept in perfection, therefore only "grace" is needed to have salvation. This is very true! We are indeed saved only by the grace of God. We are not justified by law-keeping, simply because by doing the deeds of the law we find ourselves sinners. We can never measure up to the perfection that the law demands! This is where "grace" steps in and freely justifies those "in Christ". Read Rom. 3:20, 3:24, 3:28 and Gal. 2:17 very carefully. These verses do not "do away" with the law, nor do they give us any excuse for not avoiding sin! Please understand this!
Romans 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law [is] the knowledge of sin. (KJV)
Romans 3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: (KJV)
Romans 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. (KJV)
Galatians 2:17 But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, [is] therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid. (KJV)This is where the modern churches are in gross error in separating law from grace! Paul declared in Gal. 2:17, God forbid that Christ be the minister of sin! Just because we are justified by pure grace does not cancel the profound need to mentally repent daily of sin? 1 Pet. 4:17, 2 Cor. 5:10 and Heb. 9:27 explain that judgment must begin with believers at the house of God. We are all appointed to die once, and then we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ.
1 Peter 4:17 For the time [is come] that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if [it] first [begin] at us, what shall the end [be] of them that obey not the gospel of God? (KJV)
2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things [done] in [his] body, according to that he hath done, whether [it be] good or bad. (KJV)
Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: (KJV)If grace is all that is needed to be justified, and therefore if works are not required; why is there a need for judgment for believers? Therefore from this understanding that all of the children of God will face judgment after they die, what is the purpose of this faith and belief called "Christianity"? It is a certain faith that will make it possible for believers to avoid and escape a certain judgment called "hell", and also the "lake of fire" and the "second death". The subject of "hell" is addressed in my booklet "Life and Death". Jesus Christ explained how we can avoid the judgment of "hell". The "gates" of hell will not claim a certain institution that Christ has to build. However in order for Christ to "build" there must be regular assembly and fellowship with truth seeking people. True fellowship is required in order for Christ to "build"! Please understand this truth! See Matt. 16:18.
Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. (KJV)
There are several types of judgments found in the Bible, and those "in Christ" are not exempt from receiving those things done in the body, according to what they have done, whether it was "good" or "bad". Therefore this is a judgment of works, as was carefully explained in 2 Cor. 5:10. This is all the more reason to carefully "work out" our own salvation with fear and trembling, as it shows in Phil. 2:12. However believers in Christ Jesus that "walk after the Spirit" are not condemned, as it explains in Rom. 8:1.
Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. (KJV)
Romans 8:1 [There is] therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. (KJV)To walk after the Spirit I believe means that there must be a daily effort made to mentally resist sin. The law of God is from the mind and Spirit of God, and we are to walk after the intent of the Spirit. This is what repentance is all about! However there is a major problem in resisting sin, because the Bible teaches that our carnal mind is against God, and is not subject to the moral law of God, neither indeed can be; as it explains in Rom. 8:7.
Romans 8:7 Because the carnal mind [is] enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. (KJV)
Who ever said this faith called the "Christian faith" was easy? It is a hard and difficult "way of life" and a very serious spiritual business! In a deceived Christian world it is also required that we carefully sort out truth from error in order to understand correct doctrine. It is a faith and belief that scarcely saves us! See 1 Pet. 4:18.
1 Peter 4:18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? (KJV)
What are the ten commandments, and why are they mentioned so many times in the Bible? It could be said that they are nothing more than the mind of an all wise loving God commanding ten divine instructions for his children to mentally and physically obey for their own good. The profound importance of keeping the ten commandments with the heart and mind is explained in my booklet "Repentance and Obedience". It could be said that Jesus Christ in a sense reduced these ten commandments to only two commandments, which was the case even before the ten commandments were given. Understand this truth! Christ made the profound statement that all the law and the prophets "hang" on these "two commandments". See Matt. 22:37-40.
Matthew 22:37-40 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second [is] like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. (KJV)
These two mental and spiritual precepts of loving God and loving your "neighbor" as yourself is the theological foundation of all the law and the prophets. This is very important to understand! The first and great commandment is explained in four laws on how to "love" God. Obeying false customs of fallen angels is known as obeying false gods, as we have seen. Also by mentally putting "things" in priority over and in place of the true God is known as "idol worship". We are also familiar with misusing and taking God's name "in vain". The law of "Sabbath keeping" is a divine pattern of resting or a "ceasing" every seventh day, which allows for God's time to be used by God. However many of God's people of today believe Sabbath keeping is based on the "seventh day of the week", which they are mentally, and mysteriously driven, and determined to defend at all costs. This phrase is not found in the Bible! This truth is explained in detail in my booklet "The Seventh Day". The example for us today is that Christ, after his resurrection, gave his peace for assembling on the "first day of the week" (John 20:19, 26).
John 20:19 Then the same day at evening, being the first [day] of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace [be] unto you. (KJV)
John 20:26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: [then] came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace [be] unto you. (KJV)The power of sin is very real, and the penalty of sin and rebellion required the brutal sacrifice and death of God's only begotten son! Understand this! Jesus Christ paid the penalty, and was the sin-offering to satisfy what law-breaking demanded. However since Christ did these works for us, does this now mean that we are excused from the worship of false customs of fallen angels, and are we also excused from disrespecting and mistreating other members of God's family? These "two" commandments are real living laws that if obeyed from the heart and mind would remove all fear, doubt, and false doctrine. What kind of world would this be if these divine instructions were honored and obeyed, especially in all our churches? It is something to think about! On the other hand we live in a world that seems to have the mind-set of being determined and driven to totally disregard the ten commandments!
As was mentioned in the first few pages of this booklet, we even make laws to protect and preserve evil and wrong-doing! The "two" commandments are constant unfailing laws that have cause and effect on us if they are either obeyed or disobeyed. These spiritual laws demand a payment, and it took the precious payment of God himself in a flesh body given as a sin-offering to pay the penalty! Every intentional hurt done to others (notice I said intentional), and all unkind words that causes hurt and emotional harm is being recorded by the angels, and will be made right in the day of judgment. Notice Matt. 12:36.
Matthew 12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. (KJV)
How is it possible to bring every "idle" word into judgment? Because the angels are listening to every word spoken by the children of God that does not edify, and they also hear the "good" words that are spoken in love. Angels also hear all the words spoken in prayer, and I believe many of the prayers of the saints never reach the ears of our Heavenly Father. These "good" angels are secret and "special agents" working for God, and they listen to all the frivolous, causal, meaningless and non sincere words that are spoken in prayer. I believe these very intelligent angels sort through and determine which prayers are worthy to reach the ears of the Father.
Angels can "instantly" communicate certain prayers to the Father, and sometimes angels are given permission to intervene and "answer" a sincere prayer. Angels also see all the "green trees" at Christmas time, and they are keeping record of the people who repent of this evil practice; and those who do not! Angels notice those that assemble on Sunday with other truth seeking people, and these sincere people realize that this is how Christ is building his Church. Angels also notice the people that do not set aside every seventh day for God. These people generally make excuses not to assemble when they know in their hearts that they should. See Heb. 10:25.
Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some [is]; but exhorting [one another]: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. (KJV)
It is not a question of being able to find a truth seeking group, since this is very hard to do in this deceived church world. It is however a question of having a sincere desire to want to assemble. The angels know this, because they hear the words and therefore know the hearts of God's children. It is incredible and utter nonsense and folly that some of today's ministers will teach that the angels are just men sent as messengers from God. This booklet has explained from the Bible that the existence of the angels is very real! If we simply choose to believe the Bible, then we have to accept the reality and fact that we are all being watched by the ever-present angels! These angels are ever watchful of those that take the Bible very serious, and are sincere in following and obeying truth.
God is the true Judge, and has therefore assigned his "secret and special agents" to keep a record of any infraction of the moral laws of God that are done in spite and anger to the Father's called out people. God will allow the suffering of his saints for the present, however there is coming a day of vengeance and justice! The angels see and hear everything, and an angry God will judge and repay! This booklet did not answer all the questions that some no doubt have after reading this booklet, and only a small number of scriptures were displayed that deal with this very important subject. These last two scriptures in Eccl. 12:13-14, which were spoken by a very wise man, sums up what our whole duty is; and is the conclusion of the whole matter of this very serious subject known as the Judgments of God!
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this [is] the whole [duty] of man. 14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether [it be] good, or whether [it be] evil. (KJV)
